oil and metallic leaf on canvas
40 × 40 cm
This painting captures the heavy moment I chose to let go of people I once held dear. The eye woven into the hair re[resents their presence and their gaze. A weight I could no longer carry.
By taking the scissors, I transformed a painful ending into a new beginning. Just as the woman in the portrait sheds her ornate burden, I cut my own long hair short to find lightness, clarity, and a way back to myself.
